How long have you been in business?
The Inn at Craig Place has been operating as a luxury bed and breakfast for 10 years.
What is your primary product or service?
We specialize in special occasions, weddings and romantic getaways. We offer all-inclusive weddings and gourmet breakfasts delivered to the guests' rooms.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Gregg, a UT business graduate, was a senior financial officer in NY/NJ but grew tired of the corporate rat race and wanted to change directions in his career and return to San Antonio where he had attended school. I (Kelly) was a French and English professor who also owned a French pastry catering business as well as conducting many tours to Europe over the years. Between Gregg's business background and my past experiences with group travel and cooking, the idea of a bed and breakfast was a natural fit for us. We quit our jobs, bought the Inn and moved west to San Antonio.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our whole emphasis is on pampering people. We want you to feel like royalty. The personalized service we offer our guests makes us very different from a chain hotel. The three-course gourmet breakfast delivered directly to the guests' rooms, or on the second floor balcony, sets us apart from other bed and breakfasts. Our wide variety of romance packages also make us unique. And in an area where much of the emphasis is on Texas-style and Hill Country, our European flair offers a fresh feel for local guests looking for a romantic getaway. They feel they have been whisked away to another place and time.

We are located on the corner of N. Main Ave and W. Craig Place (second house from the corner). Other landmarks are Keystone School and San Antonio Academy (across N. Main from us). Take IH 35 to N. Main exit, go north on N. Main one mile and turn left on W. Craig Place. We're the second house on the left 117 W. Craig.
