A not-for-profit, nonpartisan citizens educational forum focusing on foreign policy issues
Today more than ever political, economic, social and cultural events in countries around the world make an important impact on San Antonio and cities throughout the United States. The World Affairs Council brings notable leaders to San Antonio to offer a direct exchange of ideas on issues of major concern to the global community. The nearly 1,000 members of the Council form a base of support for a permanent, nonpartisan forum on international relations.
The Distinguished Speaker Series is the heart of the World Affairs Council, presenting approximately two programs each month at luncheons and evening lectures. These events provide a forum for informed, nonpartisan discussion of foreign policy with our speakers and other interesting members of the community. Membership is open to all and newcomers are always welcome.
